Lights, Camera, ACTION!

Today was my third day on my first set of a movie.  Its all very new and exciting to me!  I feel like such a little girl in awe of everything going on but how can I not be?!  It doesn't take much to entertain me but I was blown away especially today with how intense the making of a movie really is.  In the last scene of the day, I was just a few feet away from a car crashing through a building and stunt doubles flying through full speed traffic... I don't think I'll ever be able to watch a movie the same way after seeing the real stuff, the being the scenes action!  There is so much talent and skill on the set and I'm loving every minute of it!  Of course the hours are long and exhausting (my feet are so not happy with me) but you make the best of it and have fun with the people around you.  One of the many valuable lessons Janice has taught me is that you ALWAYS thank your crew.  They are the ones who set your lighting, the placement, look after your safety and comfort, and they should never go unappreciated.  These past few days I have never laughed so hard, even at the 13th hour in the day/night, being able to joke around with the crew is so important to me.  There is no easy job when it comes to film and the industry and I believe everyone should be acknowledged and treated with respect.  We all need to laugh more in my opinion! ;)  

Alright, 5am call time for tomorrow so perhaps I should get some beauty sleep!
